How Zwely fees work
A plain-English explanation of Zwely fees, Stripe fees, and how pay-as-you-go pricing works.
There are two kinds of fees to keep separate: Zwely fees and Stripe processing fees. Zwely controls the 5% pay-as-you-go fee on paid checkout sales. Stripe controls card processing and payouts.
Free downloads do not create Zwely transaction fees. Fees only become relevant when you sell paid products through checkout.
The simple version
Pay as you go
Zwely has no monthly subscription for standard accounts. When you sell a paid product through checkout, Zwely keeps a 5% application fee from that transaction.
Free downloads stay free
Free products, lead magnets, sample files, and subscriber gifts do not create a Zwely fee. They can still capture customer details and send delivery emails when the product is configured to do so.
Stripe fees are separate
Stripe processing fees still apply to paid card transactions. That money is charged by Stripe for payment processing, and it is separate from Zwely's 5% pay-as-you-go fee.

Good to know
- Zwely fees only apply to paid checkout sales, not free downloads.
